After my son was born, everything came back far worse than it was before. And at that point, it was I couldn't work, I couldn't function, I was in bed, I couldn't care for my son. I came to a place where I was on my knees one night thinking, you know, this is my body is shutting down. Like it just, it's not gonna keep going. And with that, I begged and I said to God, like, please heal me, please give me some kind of information to find, you know, whatever it is that's gonna bring me back to be the mom that I want to be. And all I wanted was to be healthy for my son. It wasn't about any more like my dreams or things I wanted to do. I just wanted to be a mom. And I actually wrote a will because I thought that my body was just shutting down. The next morning, his book was on the screen of my computer. And from then on, I started to put those protocols in place and my health turned around pretty quickly. People always say to me, How long did it take to heal? What did you do? And all of that. And what I will say is that healing is.

SPEAKER_02Hello and welcome back to another episode here on Eclectic Herbal Wisdom. I am really excited for today's guest, Dr. Kimberly Spare. She is a holistic health practitioner, nutritionist, fertility support woman. And she is a very busy mama with a beautiful 12-week-old baby and four others to look after. She's also caring for so many other people in the world. So I am really looking forward to hearing your story and hearing more about your experiences, Kimberly. So thank you so much for coming on the show. And yeah, let us know how you got here.
SPEAKER_03So, first of all, I'm honored to be here. Thank you so much for having me on. I have been, you know, in the world of exactly what you guys do for quite a long time, recommending your products. How I got to where I am, I went to school for speech pathology. I'm a licensed speech pathologist, and I spent my early days rehabilitating, helping people to gain function again after, you know, neurological issues and kids who were developmentally delayed and that air quotes. And on that journey, I went through my own healing journey. And I spent years and years. I should start by saying I was always very health conscious, very into herbal medicine and really taking care of my body, organic food, was running marathons at the time, yoga therapists, all the things. And all of a sudden, one day I woke up with neurological symptoms. And I went on this journey first through conventional medicine because I was working in a hospital system at the time. Saw countless doctor after test after scan after everything. Then I went down the alternative route. And it was IVs and supplements and herbs and cleanses and detoxes and all the things. And over this period of several years, my symptoms didn't get better. They got worse. I heard diagnosis after diagnosis of we're not really sure. And I ended up with this several thousand dollar book of scans and tests and lab work. And doctors would look through it and they would say, something is really wrong. But nobody really knew what exactly was happening. Something was going on with my immune system that was very clear based on the blood work. But the symptoms that I was having were not exactly correlated with textbook, you know, what they were seeing. So several years go by and got myself to a place where I felt good enough. And by the grace of God, got pregnant with my first child. Really didn't know what to expect or what was going to happen along that journey. But somehow I had a really good pregnancy and I felt way better pregnant than I did when I wasn't pregnant. And I was like, okay, maybe I'm better. Like things are, you know. And through that pregnancy, I was really diligent, supported my body the way that I thought was, you know, the correct way back then. And after my son was born, everything came back far worse than it was before. And at that point, it was, I couldn't work, I couldn't function, I was in bed, I couldn't care for my son. And even after all the work I've done, it still brings up tears. I came to a place where I was on my knees one night thinking, you know, this is my body is shutting down. Like it just, it's not gonna keep going. And with that, I begged and I said to God, like, please heal me, please give me some kind of information to find whatever it is that's gonna bring me back to be the mom that I want to be. And, you know, all I wanted was to be healthy for my son. It wasn't about any more, like, you know, my dreams or my, you know, things I wanted to do. I just wanted to be a mom. And I actually wrote a will because I thought that my body was just shutting down. And the next morning I woke up, and you guys know I do a lot of work within my practice with medical media. I'm Anthony William. The next morning, his book was on the screen of my computer. And from then on, I started to put those protocols in place, and my health turned around pretty quickly. And it was people always say to me, How long did it take to heal? You know, what did you do? And all of that. And what I will say is that healing is it takes time, right? We all know that there's different pieces to healing. But for me, I was in such a place of devastation. I wasn't sleeping, I wasn't functioning. And within a few days, I saw such a shift that I knew that there was something there. And I knew that if I was diligent, things would continue to change and head in the right direction. So that's why I do the work that I do. And that's why, you know, that is the, you know, the crux of everything that I do because that is how I healed my own body.
SPEAKER_02Wow.
SPEAKER_00That's an incredible story. So beautiful. I think many people out there in those moments of desperation, they can give out a cry for help and it gets answered. Within my own life, the pieces just seem to fall in place.
SPEAKER_03And isn't it wild? It's like it's that divine intervention, and it's like you're you're down on your knees and you're in that place of desperation. And it's like, I don't know what else to do. Like I don't know what else to do. I don't know, you know, where else to go. I've seen every doctor, I've had every test, I've tried all the things. My diagnosis was finally neurological Lyme disease and Hashimoto's thyroiditis. And after my son was born, they told me I'd be on medication for the rest of my life and that I shouldn't have any more babies, that I likely wouldn't be able to even get pregnant. And if I did, that it would require medications, immune medications, thyroid medications. I have four babies, and it just goes to show that the body can heal. Absolutely.
SPEAKER_02Wow. That's a really, really powerful story. And you're so right in how the body can heal. And sometimes it's not just about the testing and the labs, and it goes so much deeper than that. So I'm really hoping you can share a little bit more about your work with the medical medium with Anthony.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. So the way that I healed my body is exactly, and again, like I said, I went to school for something completely different. I went back to school. My PhD is in holistic health and nutrition. And when I went on this healing journey, it was like, I don't want to say everything I went to school for went away because of course that's something that I use with moms and women. And I work with a lot of moms that are having nursing challenges or feeding difficulties, sensory-based feeders. So it's not like I, you know, put everything to this to the side and I don't use that. But the work that I do really is getting to the root cause. So it's not just seeing a child that's, you know, struggling with something or seeing a mom that's struggling with something and saying, like, oh, well, go get some donor milk or get some formula. It's no, let's get to the root cause. Why is your body not making the breast milk that, you know, we know, and I say this to moms all the time, our bodies grow a human. They grow this beautiful baby, and breastfeeding is no different. Yes, there can be hurdles. Yes, there can be, you know, difficulty the first time around. But when we get to the root cause of what is happening, what is mom eating? What is mom doing? What is the routine? Then we can really help these moms move from point A to point B. So again, it's it's that information that helped me to heal my mind, my body, my soul. Really using it in a way that is helping women, moms, families get to that root cause versus just slapping on that band-aid. I love that. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Like that's what people seem to want. They want that instant fix or the band-aid fix. But yeah, we really have to go so much deeper. And it's not just here's the herbs, either, right? You had to integrate so many different pieces: body, mind, spirit, diet, obviously. Yeah, it's so much deeper than that. So I love that you you bring that up. Thank you. I would love to hear. So I know many women that are struggling to conceive. And I would love to hear what kinds of advice or things would you suggest to those women to maybe go from you're never gonna have babies to being fortunate like you and having four beautiful babies.
SPEAKER_03It goes back to that band-aid piece, right? Like women are are struggling to conceive and they're looking for that one thing that that might be the problem, and they're looking at fertility from just a fertility standpoint. Like that's it. They're looking at just this piece of the body. And the biggest piece of advice is to look at the whole body, look at the liver, look at the nervous system, because we know the hormones and the liver go hand in hand. We know that that nervous system piece really is everything when it comes to trying to conceive. And from a medical medium standpoint, the adrenal glands are so tied in to not only conceiving, but having a healthy pregnancy, a healthy birthing experience. And just for women not to forget that piece and how important that is. And it starts as simple as hydrating your body, making sure that you're eating something, you know, every hour and a half to two hours, that changes everything. I remember back when I was going through all of my symptoms and much of them were neurological. And just forcing myself at that point, because I feel like we go through periods of education and it's like, oh, I should eat like this, I should eat like that, I should do this, I should do that. And it was really like a reframing for me to like, okay, if I can get myself to eat something every 90 minutes to two hours, much of that nervous system, those symptoms that I was experiencing calm down. And it was like almost like a light bulb went off of like, wow, our body really does need that consistent fuel. And that does relate back, like I said, to that fertility piece, to that pregnancy piece and moms who are birthing. So that's really probably the biggest piece I would say. Focus on the nervous system, focus on the liver, take a look at the body as a whole, toxic heavy metals, and really just stop looking at it as a separate piece. Look at the whole body and the whole picture, exposures to a big one. You know, we all live in Wi-Fi soup and you know, all of the things we're exposed to. And and not to get crazy either, but to do the best we can with what we have.
SPEAKER_00I know a lot of women, it's very emotionally difficult when you get told that you can't have children or you shouldn't. I had the same journey and I met lots of people over my lifetime who have been told the same thing. I also went on to have a child. But do you have any do you have any advice for those women who want to hear something for like emotional support, what they can do to help themselves emotionally so they don't give up hope?
SPEAKER_03Yeah, just to know that the body is always working for us, as Anthony says. And I I so you know held on to that information and it resonated with me because I was in that place of feeling like my body's failing me, my body's attacking itself, my body is never gonna be better, I'm not gonna have kids, but to understand that our bodies are always working for us and our bodies are, they can restore it, they are resilient, they can heal. And for those women that have gone to the fertility clinics, and I've worked with a lot of women that have gone to those clinics and they still failed IVF, you know, they're they're just told like it's too late. And just to hang on to that hope and know that these stories are out there. When I was on my healing journey, I remember thinking, and and the internet was different back then, there wasn't all these things, there was no Instagram and all of this, but I remember thinking if I can find a story of someone who has gone through what I went through and they healed, I can do it too. So I always say, like, I will always share my story because somebody out there needs to hear it. And if you're a mom that's sitting there or someone that wants to be a mom, and you're like, I want to have another child, or I want to just have one child, just know that the stories are out there and that the body does heal and try not to let that information in and just continue to work on your body, lower that toxic load, lower that viral load, you know, support your body, support your liver, your nervous system, and just keep trying.
SPEAKER_00That's beautiful. I know also that V back home births are a hot topic and you like birth. I'm a big proponent. I love it.
SPEAKER_03I've had three of them. Yeah. Oh, really? Oh, wonderful.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, it's one of my personal passions. So I would love to hear your thoughts on this topic.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, I am a big supporter of physiological birth, and I can explain it. My first birth was a natural birth gone wild. I went into labor with my son, and I went through the entire labor at home, got to 10 centimeters, and a leg came out. So I was rushed in and I ended up with an emergency C-section. He was stuck in there. And I am very grateful for modern medicine when we need it and those kind of situations that are very rare. I will say to moms, it's a rare situation, but things can happen. And I am grateful that the hospital is there and the doctors are there. But physiological birth means that we're not interrupting that process of what our bodies know how to do most of the time. After my son was born, I had three VVACs at home. My last two births were just two hours, and my fourth birth was completely pain-free. I remember being in my bedroom, and my husband was like, I think you should call. And I was like, I'm just gonna go to bed. And we didn't even really like it was just very easy. And two hours long, and my daughter was here. So, what I like to say about physiological birth, we are the only mammals that go and seek this outside, basically, like people witnessing us, asking us questions, turning on the lights, and all these things that women go through every day during birthing, where when we can just do what other animals do, go to the quiet, go to the dark, have the candlelight, really limit the distractions and all of the our bodies just give birth. It's amazing. And I just really want women to know that as close as we can stick to that physiological process, you know, there's less need for interventions. There's less need for any of the things that, you know, women think, oh, well, I'm just gonna get that potosin. I just want to speed things up. But like the cascade of intervention, one intervention to another intervention to another intervention. That's why women go through a lot of times these very traumatic births, these very long births, these births that end up in emergency surgeries and things like that. So to me, those home births are, you know, the easiest way, the closest way. And they don't have to be home births. You know, women look at home births a lot of times. First-time moms will say to me, like, oh, but I just want to be in the hospital just in case. And I get that, I really do. But I think we also need to look at the fact, like just going into that hospital, even if you're wearing your sunglasses and you're lighting your candles and you're doing all those things, it is interrupted. So it's like finding where you feel safe and keeping that physiological piece of it intact as much as possible.
SPEAKER_00I love that. Yeah, you explained that so well. It's I think birth is such a personal journey. It is. And it's like about personal choice and maybe a choice is a hospital, maybe the choice is at home, but setting up that ritualistic type experience and trying to plan for that is such a beautiful way to look at that.
SPEAKER_03And I think just the education around it of some women still will choose the hospital or the birth center or something else, but just understanding if as close as I can keep my body to doing what it already knows how to do, I don't have to teach it. I don't have to like go out and learn how to do this. Uh my body knows what to do. And as close as I can keep it to that physiological piece, I likely will have the best experience.
SPEAKER_02Absolutely. I agree with all of that that you said so much. And I love thinking about like, hey, all of the mammals were all born into these hospitals and the bright lights have not been around very long. And then your story of your first birth was really kind of similar to mine. I had the most amazing midwife. I did the most amazing Bradley Method training with Susan Cutcheon, who like wrote the book on Bradley Method training, and everything was so beautiful. My midwife was actually a teacher at the naturopathic college and interns, and they were all like, this is the most beautiful, calm birth we've ever been to. It was just a lovely experience. And after 26 hours of laboring at home, I was rushed the one hour drive to the city to get an emergency cesarean. I am also like you, so grateful for what Western medicine could do. Of course. I was really adamant that there was no way I was going to a hospital for my birth, but I had the best team and I was in the best care. And it was really a beautiful experience until that moment. But 26 hours, you're still just like, uh, whatever, just let's get this done. And now I have a beautiful 13.
SPEAKER_03Or when you're waddling down the hallway with a leg hanging out, you're like, okay, it's gonna come out any other way. Here we go.
SPEAKER_02My daughter was stuck like this. Like they kept saying, Oh, we're gonna have a baby, we're gonna have a baby for like hours and hours, and she was just stuck. And it's so funny because she'll be 13 here in a couple of weeks at the time of this recording, and now when she's sleeping, she still sleeps like that. She does the same thing. It's so wild.
SPEAKER_03I remember the midwife sticking their hand like up near my son's leg, and they're like, his arm is this way, his neck is this way. Like, I could try, but there's yeah, there's gonna be a lot of damage. Oh, baby. Yeah, there are those situations, and I do think though, you know, even with that physiological piece, even when an emergency happens and things happen, having the awareness, having that knowledge, and knowing, like, okay, I went through this traumatic event to me, it was traumatic. I don't know how you felt about your c-section, but knowing that, you know, now I can still put my baby to my chest, I can do that skin to skin, I can start the breastfeeding journey. Like it doesn't stop just because something unfortunate happened. And just keeping that physiological birth in mind, keeping that the dim lights, the distractions, all of that. A lot of women think like if there's an intervention or if I end up with a surgery or a c-section, now I'm not gonna be able to breastfeed. And that's absolutely not true. We just have to go back to that, back to the basics, is what I like to say.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I felt really lucky. My midwife was so supportive in the operating room, and like I had my baby on my breast right away, right? Same like immediately, yes, yeah. So grateful that I had such a supportive team. And I think that's something that a lot of women may be missing in our culture. Absolutely.
SPEAKER_03Supportive that women go through, yes, yes.
SPEAKER_00I think there's a lot of fear around birth as well, and then you get trapped in the fear. So to have that support and to be told that it's okay, and then this is the natural way to do things, I think super important. I had to work on fear because I never thought I'd ever get pregnant and have a baby. And it's like, what? I'm pregnant, and then where's the baby gonna come out? And I thought, wait a minute, every planet is here because they moved through.
SPEAKER_03And it's like, oh I remember having the same thought with my first one. Like I went through the pregnancy and I was I was pretty good, like I said. And then I had this like moment of like I hit that like ninth month and it's like, wait a minute, I have to get this baby out. Like how this is wild, you know. It's like I love it.
SPEAKER_00I think it's important to share birth stories so that women out there don't feel alone, especially if it's a V back, because sometimes they get told you've had one C-section, you want to have another baby, it's gonna be another C-section, and they don't feel supported in their choices. So thank you for sharing your story. Yeah, it's so true.
SPEAKER_03And I remember, you know, after my whole everything happened to my son, I went to a new midwife and I also had to work on fear because it was like, all right, well, now I know that I have this scar and it's like working through that piece. But women are told that once a C-section, always a C-section. And when you look at the statistics and you actually look at the chance of things happening either way, it's actually safer to go with the V back option. So I just encourage women like look at the statistics, read the research, know that your body is still designed to have a baby, you know, vaginally, even if you had a C-section the first time in most cases. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02I love that. I would just imagine that there's quite the healing process with the scar tissue in the uterus and the rest of the body. And but then, yes, that muscle goes back to being able to do the incredible work. It's here. Yes, it does. Yeah, it's so beautiful. Thank you so much for sharing all these stories and really opening up this conversation. I think it's one that a lot of women can really, really benefit from hearing. Another one that I think that a lot of women could really. Really benefit from hearing is how do you do it? As a mother of four and being busy running your practice, running your business. How do you, as a mom, stay healthy and well so that you can continue to show up in all of those different avenues?
SPEAKER_03And that's what it is. And I think the first piece is acceptance and knowing, and I speak to moms about this all the time. I am a busy mom. Life is crazy. I, you know, shit hits the fans sometimes, I have to say it. And when those moments happen where we're like, oh my gosh, all the things, you know, all the pieces are all over the place, knowing that, okay, it's okay. Back to the basics, back to the things that keep me healthy and well. So did I get my celery juice? Did I drink a green juice today? Did I take my supplements? Just those things that I know that again, it's not about perfection, it's about being consistent every day. Like these are the things that are non-negotiables, and I'm gonna make sure that they get into my body and get into my children so that I can keep showing up. After you go through chronic illness, there is always this fear piece of like, if I don't do the perfect thing, like I could end up like that again. And just knowing that again, the body is resilient. The body is always, you know, striving to be healthy, striving to be well. So for me, it is, you know, my morning cleanse, making sure that I get those things in and then just taking those supplements that I know are there to support my body, support my immune system, lower that viral load, and the same for my kids.
SPEAKER_00You must have a super healthy family. I try to do that. What do you do for nutrition and food?
SPEAKER_03We try. We try, yeah.
SPEAKER_00And what kind of meals do you prepare for your kids and family?
SPEAKER_03Yeah. So my son was just born, obviously, when I went through my healing journey, and he grew with me into the way that I live now. And he doesn't know any other way. My kids don't know any other way. My son got really into gardening. My dad started him with one little pot. We lived in a townhouse at a time. He got obsessed with his little, it was a tomato plant, and then it was like a tomato plant and an herb. Then it turned into three pots and it turned into this little thing with like several pots on it. Now it turned into a garden, and every year it gets bigger and bigger and bigger. So when I tell you that, having your kids invest in their wellness along with you, those are the things that they're gonna want to eat. So they'll come in with like buckets in the summertime of tomatoes. Can we make a sauce? The different fruits, the blueberries, what can we make? And, you know, really just bringing everything back to things that come from the earth. My kids are really into fruits and vegetables, wild foods, herbs, all the things, and they know a lot about herbs, not because I ever sat them down and taught them, but because they see what I do, they know what I do, and they mimic it. My my son is 11, so he is just so into you know anything he can grow and then creating that into some kind of meal. And I think it's amazing. I wish I grew up like that because then I would have never gone down, would have never gone down this path, right?
SPEAKER_00That's a dream childhood. Oh, thank you.
SPEAKER_02I love that we get to give our kids the childhood that we wished we had to it, right? Yeah. That's so nice. So you talked about your kids knowing herbs and you knowing herbs. Let's talk about herbs. What are some of the most common herbs that your kids love or that you love to have your kids use?
SPEAKER_03Yeah. So they know they can go and get time and make time water, time tea, definitely lemon balm. They'll do, you know, peppermint and basil and and all the things. And are you talking like herbs from the garden? Are you talking like supplements? We can talk all the herbs. I started a tea party with my little girls when they were small, just for you know, nettle is so wonderful for the teeth, for just a mineral infusion. And that really became a habit. And I always say to moms, what an easy way to get that like multivitamin, multi-mineral into their bodies by having a sweet little tea party. So my kids are really into that. They'll do, you know, a little bit of honey, do some tea, they'll make things with herbs, we'll make potatoes, they'll do the fresh herbs on top. So anything and everything to bring those things into their bodies.
SPEAKER_02I love that we can use such great food as medicine and the power, like sure. So many people often think about time, like you mentioned. It's just the flavoring for your food. But it's so much more.
SPEAKER_03But it's so anti-pathogenic. It's so powerful. Yes, even in the winter. I like to keep things growing in the kitchen. Some winters it doesn't work out. So we will go and get the herbs and make sure that we have those things, even when you know it's not gardening season.
SPEAKER_02Love that. It's so beautiful.
SPEAKER_03So supplements. What do you like? Supplements for you. Definitely zinc, B12, vitamin C, always have other things on hand, depending if I'm in the season of it's funny because I say I've been pregnant, breastfeeding or both for the past 12 years, literally without a break. Just had my last baby, and you know, I'll be nursing for a while. But, you know, depending on the season, always have like golden seal on hand, always have cat's claw on hand. Again, outside of that window, I like to always be clear with women because they'll hear things as we talked about, you know, online, and then they run off and take things that we shouldn't be taking in pregnancy or postpartum or nursing. Definitely nettles, red raspberry leaf. Yeah, those are just some of my favorites. And and some of the things that are for kids, I like to keep the golden seal sprays that you guys have on hand. I like to keep the elderberry red root on hand. I think that those are great for kids that I've seen with clients of mine, specifically with golden seal, kids that just can't handle the flavor. And it's just good for them and easy to go and have that spray. Herbal cough elixir, that's another one that's always in my house. That's a great one. Trying to think what else. Compound herbal biotic is another one we always have on hand. And of course, mullen ear oil, because so many kids I've actually given the mullen oil to friends and family members because kids get, you know, they'll have a little pain in their ear, and the moms are running off to the doctors or getting an antibiotic. And it's like, wait, wait, wait, just try this first because nine times out of ten, you know, we we can make change with things that are natural.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, great. Oh, I love that you're using all our products. The mullen compound oil is amazing. It's got garlic and melon and St. John's wall. And you can just put it on a cotton ball and just put it by the ear, just slightly warm, and it just naturally goes in there and helps.
SPEAKER_03We have done that since my son was two years old, maybe before that. That's always what we used. And it's always been a successful, yeah. It's been successful. So I will always have those things on hand. Even when we travel, I make sure that I have a little bag and I zip them in and they go right into my purse because I can't be without them.
SPEAKER_00Oh, wonderful. That's so amazing to hear. Yeah, obviously, my child was raised on our products as well.
SPEAKER_03I love that.
SPEAKER_00And probably so they're graduated all, but no, he still uses the kids' ones.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, exactly. And probably so healthy. Yeah. I actually know a lot of moms too that are very sensitive and they will use the kids' ones um just because they're a little more gentle.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, they taste pretty good. The kids love them.
SPEAKER_03They do.
SPEAKER_02I think that's one popular misconception about kids' formulations with herbs, like, oh, it's for kids. We can't do this as an adult. But oftentimes it's just how much of the herb is in there. So you can just increase what you need. It's take a little more to do that. But yeah, I love the the tip on the mullen compound. And this is one of those cases for me where I really wish that my parents would have raised me the way my daughter's being. Oh, yes. Because I had ear surgery like 13 times and I was always on antibiotics, and my parents didn't know any better, you know. But goodness gracious, I'm really grateful that my daughter doesn't have that happening.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, I remember having a lot of ear infections growing up and all the antibiotics and all the standard treatments. Yeah, we all wish that we were raised with, you know, the knowledge we have now. But I always say, you know, we do better when we know better and we go on these journeys in life and we learn as we go.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. Absolutely. We're all doing the best, you know. The best that we can. Yeah, exactly. We're trying, hopefully, right? Yes, exactly. I love that. You've shared so much already. And I'm just curious, like outside of the herbs and the diet, what other like great health tips do you have for families, including like the emotional and connection tips? Because you've got children ranging from 12 weeks to 11 years. There's a lot of different connection pieces going on there.
SPEAKER_03I think it's back to like back to the basics and doing the things that you can do consistently every single day and getting away from this perfection piece because we can feel like we're failing if we try to be so perfect and so, you know, wanting to do this and that and everything else, and coming back to that more realistic piece and understanding that, you know, supporting the nervous system, supporting the liver, teaching our kids to do the same, we can do that and we can still live in a place where, you know, we realize that we are human and we're human beings and that life is crazy and we do go through things that feel stressful, but using the tools that we have to plug back in and come back to that piece of resilience without spinning out constantly. I talk to a lot of moms, like I said, every day, and it's always like, I wish I should have. And I'm like, don't judge yourself, you know, just pick it up where you left off. Do the best you can in the season that you're in.
SPEAKER_02I love that. I think some words that have been brought up to me where I've been in through seasons of life being very hard on myself. It's just like, yes, hey, have some compassion and grace for yourself, you know. I think a lot of women forget that because we uh are in this society where we have to strive so hard or compete so hard to be enough, right? And yeah, that perfection can really or desire for perfection that never really happens can really a woman down.
SPEAKER_03It's true, it's true, and we're all just doing the best we can, you know. In this world, that's hard sometimes. I love it.
SPEAKER_00It seems to be busier, like we have to balance our careers, our families, and then there's all this digital stuff now, which is supposed to help us, but it seems to make everything busier because you have to answer the text right away and the email. That's what I was gonna say.
SPEAKER_03Answer it right away. And it's like, ah, there's a million different things going off and everything. And that's probably great advice too, just to really limit some of that stuff when you can. Yeah, and try to be present as much as possible.
SPEAKER_02Take the lemon bomb. That reminds me of something that I have to remind myself often that I learned from a business coach of mine where she was like, nothing in business is an emergency. So that like that's great, quick desire to like, I've got to fix this fire right away. Or I think that also goes to there are things in the family that can be an emergency that you need right away. But in general, I think we're all just hyper connected yet disconnected with the speed of everything on the internet.
SPEAKER_03But yeah, it's that cortisol and adrenaline that are constantly pumping. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, our poor bodies and minds too.
SPEAKER_00I just wanted to mention, I know you're connected to Anthony Williams, and I also have a medical medium story. I had terrible GERD. I was waking up at four in the morning with a burning stomach, tried everything. What do you do? And I thought, oh, and it was so bad. I went to the doctor, I said, look, I've just been throwing up and I don't feel very good. And they said, you need to take the cimeprazole. And I was like, I really don't want to take it, but the burning, so I relented and I took it and I was determined to get myself off it. Went on a low FODMAP diet, quit the coffee, quit the tea, and it still wasn't going away. And I thought, oh, I should look and see what the medical medium recommends for that. Celery juice. Two days of drinking celery juice and it was gone. So doctor, and she was determined, she said, no, she said what you're doing is pretty radical. And I said, but it worked. And she's still trying to trick me into saying you must still have it. And I said, no, it's gone and it's never come back. So now I do celery juice every morning.
SPEAKER_03I love hearing that. Well, celery juice was the first thing that I did on my journey. And I actually, you know, celery juice in the morning on an empty stomach, but I was having sleep issues. So I did celery juice at night before bed, and the mineral salts calmed my body down. And I slept the full night for the first time in a very long time, you know, when I was going through that journey and I was just so adrenalized and just charged, and it calmed me right down. And as soon as that happened, I was like, there's something to this. This is going to heal my body. And then I, you know, every morning religiously, I won't be without it.
SPEAKER_00I was I love that story.
SPEAKER_03Thanks for having me.
SPEAKER_00So simple. And I mean, I tried so many things by that point. Love chocolate, love tea. I had to give it up. And it was even toothpaste. I couldn't brush my teeth. So I was getting a bit desperate. And then just one simple thing, it blew my mind.
SPEAKER_03I love that. That's a great thing.
SPEAKER_00Well, I think he really put celery juice on the map. It's he did.
SPEAKER_03Brilliant, and it transformed so many lives. You know, most people will do the whole protocols, but there are some people that just drink celery juice and they have these amazing stories, and I just love to hear them.
SPEAKER_02That's amazing. I don't like celery. I love that honesty too. Or celery juice. But maybe if I were in that situation, I'd just be like, okay, I'm gonna take this. Or I'd use eclectic herbs celery juice that's been freshly freeze-dried and get the same benefits. That would be that'd probably be the option for me. My partner loves celery, but I'm like, ew. So we rarely have it in our home. Love it. Amazing. Well, this has been really, really fun, and I think it's gonna be a really inspiring episode for any women listening that maybe have had a traumatic birth story or not, or are trying to conceive, or have kiddos that they're taking care of and they're so busy in life navigating in the best ways. Yes, absolutely. But I'd love to hear a little bit more about you and what you do and how women can connect with you after they listen to this show.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, so I have a website that has loads of free content, loads of free ebooks, 10 years worth of blogs, a fertility and pregnancy page. It's drkimberly spare.com. I work with women in I have a membership, I work one-to-one, I have courses, I have all the things, but there's loads of free content there at drkimberly spare.com.
SPEAKER_02I love it. And you're on social media, you're at Instagram.
SPEAKER_03And I'm reclaimers of health.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I love it. Amazing.
SPEAKER_03Are there any other last things you want to share with folks or if you're a mom struggling with fertility, it really comes back to again that nervous system peace and just holding on to hope, you know, nourishing your adrenal glands, nourishing your nervous system, and just holding on to, you know, the fact that those stories are out there. I am a mom and someone who has overcome being told that I would never have children. And again, I have four. So hang on to that. I feel like I'm about to send this to so many friends that I know.
SPEAKER_02Like, hey, you can do this. You can do this. Absolutely. Thank you so much for coming on and sharing your journey and your story and sharing eclectic herbs products with your people. Yeah, it's been really inspiring to thank you for having me.
